I have been advised by Galway County Council that they have sanctioned the erection of Speed Warning Lights on the road into Kilkerrin Village. There had been a major problem with speeding in the village and this should help to solve that problem and I welcome today’s news
I have also been informed that in the Glenamaddy area the road into Ardaslough which has been flooded in recent weeks will be risen by Galway County Council. We have seen the highest water level in the area for 23 years and this is a difficult job to do as there is a drop on both sides of the road. The only access to houses on that road is by tractor only so this is very welcome news and I have been working on this issue for some time and I thank Galway County Council for their co -operation. I would also like to thank Cllr Des Joyce for helping me on the matter
