We are fast approaching the festive season I am appealing to people to shop local where they can this Christmas. It is now more important than ever that we support local businesses and local jobs and there is just as much value to be got in local towns and villages as there is in the bigger centres when one looks around. There are many local business, community organisations and chambers of commerce who are organising special shopping weeks and incentives in the run up to Christmas and they are all doing a great job to promote the local economy. I hope that the Christmas season offers a badly needed boost to local businesses and that it can be the start of better things ahead in 2016. So the message is to shop local as much as is possible this coming festive season.
