Roscommon Rates Initiative Welcome

I want to welcome the new rates initiative agreed at the Roscommon County Council at their budget meeting this week. The plan, wherby businesses who are setting up in a derelict or vacant building and whose rates are below 5,000 Euro will receive the first year rate free and then gradual increases or a number of years after that is something that I have been proposing for a number of years. This is something that will be a great help small businesses starting up and I commend the courage and foresight of Roscommon County councillors in agreeing this initiative.
