Rosalie Unit Future Secured

I welcome the undertaking from Minister Kathleen Lynch at today’s meeting on the Rosalie Unit which was held in Leinster House, in which she gave an undertaking that no residents in the unit will be moved unless there are medical circumstances and that would happen with family consultation only. This is a welcome development and will give patients and their families the certainty that I was seeking. The residents wanted to stay in this unit which was providing a great service and the staff at the unit will also have certainty with regard to the future. I will be meeting with Minister Lynch and the HSE in the near future to secure the future of the Rosalie Unit for once and for all.
