Problems with the 2014 Beef Geonomics Payments

I have learned from a reliable source over the past day that there will be a cut in payments of up to 22% for the Beef Geonomics Scheme 2014 because the scheme was over subscribed. These payments are due to be made by June 30th. If this is the case, and I have no reason to doubt the information I have, then it is a totally intolerable situation and I am calling on Minister Simon Coveney to make an immediate statement on the matter. Farmers went into this scheme complying with the terms and conditions laid down and the Government must keep it’s side of the bargain too. I will be monitoring this situation closely in the coming days.
