Portiuncla Review Findings Awaited With Interest

I want to echo the call being made today that the independent review of maternity services at Portiuncla Hospital in Ballinasloe include every aspect of maternity care including the question of resources and staffing. The review will take five months to complete and the nine member review team was announced by the Minister on Monday and it is imperative that all aspects of the care given to the babies concerned and all other matters associated with that care be examined. I wish Professor Walker who will lead the enquiry and his team the best of luck and will await their final report with interest.
