Parking Problems At Roscommon Hospital Highlighted Again.

Many people have contacted my office and me personally over the past few weeks, people who have difficulty walking and getting around, to highlight the major parking problems that exist at Roscommon County Hospital. There are no parking facilities close to the hospital for these people. I have highlighted this problem before on a number of occasions in the recent past but the HSE and the hospital authorities do not seem to be interested in solving it. A lot of people who are attending the hospital for appointments are elderly and are not able to walk any distance. Can it not be sorted that a large car park be provided in close proximity to the hospital to facilitate not only these elderly and infirm patients who are attending appointments, but for staff at the hospital as well.
