From what I understand there have been recent meetings of Teagasc officials which have resulted in a situation wherby all farmers who need to do the Green Cert will all be included and covered for and that the resources and instructors to do that course would be provided. This will be welcome because there was a lot of trepidation out there in relation to young farmers not knowing whether they would complete the Green Cert course in time to comply with regulations. I have been working on this on a continual basis and welcome this step forward let’s hope that this will be carried out as planned. I will be following it up to ensure that all young farmers get a chance to fulfil what they want to achieve in the agriculture industry.
