Hughestown Water Scheme Boil Water Notice

Residents in the Boyle area who are connected to the Hughestown Water Scheme will be on a boil water notice from today according to Irish Water. A third of this scheme will be supplied by the Boyle-Ardcarne Scheme which is on a general Boil Water Notice. However two thirds of the Hughestown scheme will now be supplied from the Carrick Water Scheme and the water on that scheme is fine . The whole Boyle-Ardcarne scheme has been operating under a new Water Treatment System and is being monitored by the HSE over the past number of months for proving . The boil water notice will come into effect from today. I am in constant contact with Irish Water about this situation to resolve this situation as soon as possible.
