Health Services Need To Be Upgraded Now

The admission by a senior consultant at Roscommon county hospital this week, Mr Liam McMullen, that the HSE had failed to provide the people of County Roscommon with a safe ambulance service since the A and E unit closed down confirms what I and others have been saying all along about or health services locally. Mr McMullan and his colleagues have been responsible for saving many lives in Roscommon county hospital over the years and they know the situation on the ground first hand. We have had loads of empty promises to add to the broken ones made to the people of Roscommon on this issue by the government. The ambulance base in West Roscommon must be fast tracked and fully staffed with crews and ambulances without any further delay. I am calling on Minister Varadkar to once and for all provide a proper ambulance service for the people of county Roscommon into the future.
