Great Honour For Glinsk National School

I want to congratulate Glinsk National School on the news that they have been awarded the title of Digital School of Distinction from the Department of Education. This initiative was undertaken by the Department, and only a small number of schools in the country have achieved this status to date. This is a very prestigious award for the school and it is a credit to the work which has been carried out by the principal Grainne Nolan and her staff. Indeed the success of Glinsk National School is a credit to the whole community. A few short years ago the school was very short of funds but helped by the teachers the parents and local people there is a bright future ahead for the school and a 12 year plan was agreed by the board of management recently and put in place. I want to congratulate everyone concerned with this latest award and also congratulations to the Convent of Mercy Primary School in Roscommon town who received a Digital School of Distinction award recently as well.
