Budget Action Needed On USC

By September 26, 2016No Comments

PageLines- litir-1.jpgThe budget is now only three weeks away and in relation to the discussions as to what to do with the USC, I would propose a lowering the rates for income earners up to 60/70,000 Euro but I would be against any lowering of the rates above that income figure.

Middle and lower income earners have been hugely affected by high taxes since the recession started and they deserve to get relief, however I would not be in favour of abolishing the USC at higher income levels.

Minister Noonan must recognise that it is middle Ireland that has paid the price for the recession and now they deserve a break. I will be raising this matter when the Budget discussions are held in the next couple of weeks.
